WHO IS JESUS

CREATION
The Bible tells us in Romans 1.25 (NLT), "They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen."
God created us and is the only one who can satisfy our hearts. Our problem is that instead of looking to God, we've turned to other things to make us happy.

SIN
The Bible also tells us in Romans 3:23 (PT), "For we all have sinned and are in need of the glory of God."
We have all sinned by turning away from God and replacing Him with things we believed would satisfy our hearts.

DEATH
The Bible goes on to tell us in Romans 6:23 (NLT), "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord."
The penalty for sin is spiritual death. Everyone dies physically. But after our body dies, we don't cease to exist. Our soul will spend eternity with God in heaven or without God in hell. The cost for rejecting God in this life is to be judged by Him in the next. However, God loves us and offers to forgive all of our sin.

SALVATION
The Bible then tells us in Romans 5:8 (NLT), "But God has showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners."
God loves us, so He sent His Son, Jesus, to die in our place. When Jesus was crucified, God placed all of our sin on His Son. Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sin, so we could be forgiven and receive eternal life. We know this because three days after He died, He was resurrected!

RECIEVE HIM
The Bible says in Romans 10:9-10 (NLT), "If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved."
We must choose to receive God's forgiveness and His gift of eternal life. We can do nothing to earn it. We receive it by faith.

And you will never feel orphaned, for as he rises up within us, our spirits join him in saying the words of tender affection, “Beloved Father!” For the Holy Spirit makes God’s fatherhood real to us as he whispers into our innermost being, “You are God’s beloved child!” (Romans 8:15-16 TPT)
